Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. Her most popular role is Bo, from Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay is the director of drama and producer at St. Thomas University, is Silk's mother. Her father, Peter who was an academic, worked at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers watching her mother at work and attending practice sessions for plays. Silk was a part of numerous commercials for children. She completed her studies at St. Thomas University with an Associate of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in at least two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved in Toronto for her acting to progress, and then moved to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman was her future spouse when she first began to meet him in 2007 during an acting workshop in Los Angeles. The couple was married in a civil ceremony in December of 2009. They were married in Fredericton on April 10, the couple renewed their vows after her conversion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman was born in May 2013, a son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk's TV work includes her role in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland in which she was awarded the Gemini Awards nod in 2009. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character from the succubus. Silk was pregnant during filming the finale of the third season. Silk announced her pregnancy to the fans in her Showcase Season Three pre-show special on 6 January 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20, 2013 that she was ready to return to work. The 4th of June 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially revealed the launch of production for the fourth season. The character she played Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers on Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top Television Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) and declared Top TV Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's success has led to a large online audience using social networks.
