Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise from bloggers as well as the press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, was released for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of her most well-known recordings. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. It earned her some recognition. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding a piano hidden in her attic, and being captivated by the sounds it produced. Her parents May-Britt as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for an occupation or pastime but to grow. The singer began to write songs of her own. Her sources include noted writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her affinity with Bjork's style. To counter her mother's advice that her children should not be aiming to be famous through the songs she writes, but rather realize the importance of themselves as well as their contribution to society. The piano was her first instrument at the age of six. She started writing music when she turned nine. The family did not know until the age of 14. Aurora's accomplishments were never the goal of her. Aurora claims she loves writing songs. She believes music can make any person feel better.
